Despite the frequency of official debt restructurings, little systematic evidence has been produced on their characteristics and implications. Using a dataset covering more than 400 Paris Club agreements, this paper fills that gap. Sovereign Debt Restructuring and Credit Recovery

This paper focuses on the significant growth of domestic credit once the debt is restructured and shows that is not correlated with the size of the haircut.
