A parlor game that we have inflicted on our family and friends involves one person reading the first line of a book while the others try to guess the title and author. For example, here is one that some of you would get right away, although it might cause others of you to struggle: ?It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.? The 2008 financial crisis revealed some basic flaws in our financial system and in our financial regulatory framework. I know that I don?t have to tell you that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has been extraordinarily busy in its efforts to fulfill the regulatory mandates of the Dodd?Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
