Gender and Credit in 2020: Evidence from the Survey of Household Economics and Decisionmaking


Abstract: The third notes that, in 2020, women were more likely to have credit card debt, to be denied or approved for less when they applied for credit products, and to put off applying for credit at higher rates than men.
