Examining the Role of Job Separations in Black-White Labor Market Disparities
Abstract: Economic trends indicate stark racial disparities in the labor market. Findings from recent studies and data from the Federal Reserve Board’s 2017 Survey of Household Economics and Decisionmaking (SHED) elaborate on the persistent black-white unemployment gap and highlights barriers to obtaining and maintaining employment.
