Connecticut through Katrina-colored glasses
Abstract: Compared with the poverty rate in hurricane-ravaged Mississippi (21.6 percent, the highest in the nation), Connecticut?s rate of 7.6 percent might not seem a cause for alarm. But Connecticut families struggling to make ends meet often encounter challenges facing the poor along the Gulf Coast.
